Recommended reading list for Year 3

child reading

If there’s one way you can really improve your learning at school it is by reading lots of books both at home and at school.

Thanks to our replenished book supplies, there are many titles to choose from for your weekly reading book in each of the year group libraries and of course, the children participating in the new Accelerated Reading trial have another whole library to choose from. (Hopefully this will be rolled out over the entire school soon)

However, we know there are lots of parents, carers and family members who buy books for their children and often ask us which are the best titles. So, we decided to publish our school’s recommended reading lists for each year group so, if you are on the look out to buy some great books where children can immerse themselves in a brand new world and improve their learning at the same time. Take a look at our list below.

This is the list aimed at children aged 7-8 and currently in (or going into) Year 3. We understand that not all children are at the same level so look out for the Year 2 list and the Year 4 list (coming soon) so you can adapt as necessary.
