Riverview Junior School has five core values that every child aims to get. We have an assembly that takes place on a Monday afternoon and wristbands are given out to the children who have been nominated by their teachers. The core values are Resilience, Excellence, Respect, Teamwork and Responsibility.
Resilience
You have to believe you can achieve. Therefore, if you cannot do it yet you should keep trying until you get it. Even if you want to give up!
Excellence
Nothing but our best will do. Therefore, when pupils give in their work it should be the best work they can possibly do.
Respect
Showing respect is when pupils treat others politely and with understanding. Pupils should also show it to adult.
Responsibility
Take responsibility for your actions. Have a positive influence on others and set the best possible example you can. Do something when you are asked to.
Teamwork
Treat everybody equally, support each other and work together to have fun and achieve. Celebrate each other’s success.
In conclusion, the Riverview Junior School core values are a great way for the children to shine. After children receive these core values, they begin to show that value at home and at school.
Top tips
Your child can help their teacher and try their hardest at their work and all things they do.
Be the very best you can at all times.
When you want to give up keep on going!
Core value stickers
Teachers can also hand out core value stickers if your child gets enough of that sticker they might end up getting a wristband. Teachers can hand these out at any time they want. Your child should wear their sticker with pride. If you see your child wearing a sticker ask why they got it, you will be pleasantly surprised!
