How to comment on the school blog – stay safe online

Blog rules Riverview Junior School

Blog Club has been very busy this term preparing lots of posts for you to read and we hope you enjoy them all. We have plenty more on the way and so you don’t miss out on any of them, you can subscribe to our blog and receive all the latest posts in your inbox by leaving your email address in the subscription box on the sidebar —->

Blogging is a fun way to get creative with words and see how the English lessons learnt in school are put into practice in the real world. The first draft, the proofreading, thinking of interesting images to accompany the text and a final polish before publishing. It’s an exciting journey and once you have written one post, you are soon brainstorming the next one!

Once a post has been published, the next thing would be for our readers (you) to leave a comment and show the author how enjoyable it was, or how useful the information was. Can you add to the conversation? We’d love to hear from you.

How to comment on our blog

The first thing will be to write your name, FIRST NAMES ONLY PLEASE! We want this to be a totally safe experience for everyone involved. You may also choose a screen name if you prefer.

You will also be asked for your email address but please don’t worry, this isn’t visible to anyone and your information is perfectly safe.

There is a box asking for a website but you can skip that box and still comment.

A blog (and the internet) is a very fun place to be but it has to be used in a secure way. However, to make this a safe experience for everyone we need to have a few simple rules in place…

With this in mind, we have put together the following guidelines for everyone. Remember, reading a blog post and leaving a comment is the perfect way to improve reading, writing and keyboard skills so don’t be shy, come and tell us your thoughts.
